Basic Membership:

Membership in Makeup Artists of Atlanta is open to the following professionals with at least one year of experience including: Media Makeup Artists, Commercial Makeup Artists, Film Makeup Artists, FX Makeup Artists, Bridal Makeup Artists, Beauty Advisors / Counter Makeup Artists, Licensed Cosmetologists, and Licensed Estheticians with at least one year of professional makeup experience.

We also accept Assistant Makeup Artists, New Makeup Artists, Student Estheticians or Cosmetologists currently enrolled in schools in Georgia, and Student Makeup Artists that have recently completed or are currently enrolled in the Complete Media Makeup Course at Atlanta Makeup Academy.

A-List Membership:

A-List Membership is by invitation only and is reserved for professional, freelance Makeup Artists with at least two years of professional experience. This list was originally created as the founder's personal referral list and is limited to those Artists that our leadership team feels comfortable in recommending to a client. If you are already an active, basic member, you have attended at least one of our events within the past six months, and would like to be considered for an invitation to our A-List - please email your name, cell phone number and link to your website to and request a phone interview with our President Kimberly Crocker or our Founder Kat Pfender. We will then review your website to see if it meets our initial list of requirements (click here to review list of requirements) and if yes, then one of us will personally call or email you to schedule your phone interview. Once approved - you will be asked to pay a minimum donation of $15 per month choosing from the minimum three month listing for $45, six month listing for $90, or nine month listing for $135. Website and membership participation is re-evaluated at the time of listing expiration prior to invitation to renew listing.

As an A-List Member, you will receive:

  • Your name, phone number, and website listed on our home page as a thank you for your minimum donation.
  • Job referrals from other A-List Members
  • Invitations to special A-List Members Only Events
